"Jim showed how it is very easy to use your computer to take advantage of fundamental analysis the experts have already done...." “ Hi, There are times where it’s OK to break the rules. Keeping your emotions out of your trading decisions is a critical rule, but I broke it to attend the Boot Camp. After an indirect recommendation, I’d looked at the web site, and seen there was one place left for the Boot Camp. Looking again a couple of days later there was still one place left. This was an omen, clearly this spot had been reserved for me, so I was in! Firstly, I was impressed that you have integrity. When I placed my order, "one place left" went to "sold out". Not a marketing ploy such as seen at the markets, where if you buy the last one, another always seems to appear. The reason I was interested was that after years of dabbling, and about a year trading full time my returns were highly erratic, (and seldom “high”). A couple of free courses in New Zealand had turned out to be just teasers for expensive learning programs, or forums for pushing software. Jim’s course was the real deal. Everything required to trade well is available free on the web, but all this had given me was information overload. Trading in isolation, with no one to toss ideas off meant I had no way to filter the good from the bad. I found the Boot Camp approach increased my capacity to learn tremendously. A team of top presenters, working through a safe and proven system, with 50 traders, of varying levels. The interaction of the presenters and the audience continuing until everyone was clear on each aspect of the system. Basics like pivot points and trailing stops went from being something simple, to a bit more complicated, and as discussion continued eventually back to simple again, but with the complexities now taken in. The weight of evidence approach was a revelation to me. Using it, it’s possible to keep within the risk rules, but have a much bigger portion of your capital working than I had been using. The fundamental pre-filtering means shares picked are less volatile, and not likely to all simultaneously fall over a cliff. I had previously steered clear of fundamentals, but Jim showed how it is very easy to use your computer to take advantage of fundamental analysis the experts have already done. Catherine Taylor’s contribution was a major bonus. Emotions are a big factor in trading mastery. Catherine’s approach didn’t require us doing any touchy-feely stuff. Simple but practical e.g. don’t fix it all at once, identify where you are mediocre, and just work on one thing at a time. I was impressed the team are not committed to just one approach, and introduced to me the idea of iShares and other ETF’s. Again, things I had seen on the web, but without being able to interact I had no idea if real people could use them successfully. I wasn't sure at the time of booking about value for money. They all say it doesn't matter what it costs as you'll cover it with a few good trades, but I still feel course presenters should give value for money. I had one of your competitors phone me yesterday with rather good, hypothetical, trade performance figures, offering a 1 day course at twice the price of yours.
